Bay Park

A beautiful centrally located neighborhood that is an electric part of San Diego that overlooks the beautiful views of Mission Bay and the Pacific Ocean. Most people pass by Bay Park but few know much about the neighborhood. This is an up and coming neighborhood ranked #1 on the most livable neighborhood in San Diego 2019. It’s easy freeway access and the new coaster stop, which will be completed in 2021 will take travelers downtown or as far as UTC La Jolla. Bay Park is only a 10 minute drive north from downtown San Diego. This is a well-established community that continues to attract interest from buyers.

Bay Park Culture

There are a lot of businesses in this area, most of them are owned by locals that exude a certain pride of ownership and San Diegan charm. Head over Siesal’s Meats for a full service deli with high quality meats, different fishes and a small market for your shopping convenience. Restaurants line the Morena Boulevard and pop up lounges and bars are all over this cozy town. Luce Bar & Kitchen, Farmers Table & Tio Leo’s are some of the local favorites.  It is a continually changing neighborhood with many homes passed down from generation to generation. The overall ambience, mood and tone of this neighborhood is as welcoming as it gets. 

Ammentities & Activities

Bay Park is one of San Diego's best kept secrets so it’s not a surprise that the amenities and activities are unfamiliar to a lot of San Diegans who don’t know the area. The local coffee shops are some of the best in San Diego. There are a lot of great breweries in this area perfecting their craft on site.  With all the things Bay Park, check out Tecolote Canyon. Tecolote Canyon has a a golf course where you can practice your swing without a full round of golf. Tecolote Canyon runs through Bay Park and the Tecolote Nature Center is located and the southern end of the Canyon. It is adjacent to Tecolote Park with its multiple baseball fields, basketball courts, and playground.

Bay Park real estate has more reasonable expectations than other parts of San Diego. This area has a diverse population of business owners, government employees and private companies.

Points2homes.com the median household income is $80,000 a year, but most residents make between $100,000 and $150,000 a year. Most residents are in their 30’s, and the median age is 35. The second-highest age demographic falls within the 40 to 49 range. Just under half the residents are married.  The second highest demographic is single individuals. Most residents of this neighborhood have a Bachelor’s degree or higher. The second largest demographic is those with some college in their background.
